The closing of Eighth & Rail left a big hole in the Opelika music scene. Fortunately, Richard is back and he’s brought a team of artist friends along with him to form The Railyard with the self-proclaimed mission of presenting “events that are focused on food, film, art, and music. We are a supporter of anything creative!”
They already have an impressive roster of musical acts lined up, but right away you should mark your calendar for the Opelika SHINDIG on Saturday, August 18 beginning at 6:00 p.m., a coproduction with Standard Deluxe featuring music from our friends Adventure the Great along with Outskirts, and Lonely Wolves.
The Opelika SHINDIG will also showcase art from local artists as well as other artisanal goods from artisans in the area including:
