Our friends at The Gnu’s Room continue to champion local music this Saturday, August 18 at 7:00 p.m. when they welcome the Opelika-based duo Low June. Armed with a guitar, banjo, djembe and various other folk instruments, Low June’s goal is to create minimalistic songs inspired by spirituals and old folk melodies. Copies of Low June’s CD I’m By Your Side will be available for purchase. There is no cover, but all donations will go to the musicians.
